Ancient Manuals
Ancient manuals are book which can be used to boost the rewards of hard challenges and reset their reward counter.
Players can use them on a poneglyph boosting that challenge by 1 point for a maximum of 3 points, every point increases the reward:
- 1 point = 30%
- 2 points = 60%
- 3 points = 100%
This means that using 3 ancient manuals for the same challenge will double its reward.
Ancient manuals only buff the rewards of Hard difficulty challenges.
Failing the challenge will lose the points you've invested into it.
They can be found in old structures (such as desert/jungle temples, sunken ships, buried treasures etc) or via archaeology (suspicious sand/gravel).
